About Me

Bernhard Fasenfest is a filmmaker, videographer, photographer, radio producer, sound designer, and all around nice guy. His photography and video work has been published in Slate, The Huffington Post, Indiewire, Afropop Worldwide, and Critical Sociology as well as many other publications. In total, his videos have been viewed over 600,000 times on YouTube. He is currently the New Music Director at WKCR 89.9 FM-NY, and has a weekly radio show on which he has interviewed John Zorn, Julia Wolfe, So Percussion, Foetus, and Toshiya Tsunoda among others. Bernhard currently studies at Columbia University where he is pursuing a degree in Anthropology.

Film

In my film work I explore a variety of different forms, ranging from more experimental projects, inspired by Hollis Frampton, Joseph Cornell, and Tony Conrad, to documentary and short fiction work.

Video

I’ve shot and edited many different types of movies for clients, including music videos, concerts, talks, and movie trailers. I own all of my equipment and can easily adapt to many different types of events.
